Dr Gemma Paech
Senior Sleep Scientist in the Adult Sleep Laboratory,
John Hunter Hospital
Gemma is the Senior Sleep Scientist in the Adult Sleep Laboratory at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and a conjoint in the School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Newcastle. In her current role she oversees and coordinate research projects relating to circadian rhythms and sleep disorders. She received her PhD in 2014 from the University of South Australia where she looked at how severe sleep loss and circadian disruption affects sleep and waking functions. After this she undertook two postdoctoral fellowships in the USA before relocating to Newcastle.
