Event Info

The Sleep Health Foundation's Sleep Health Week will take place from Monday 11 August to Friday 15 August in 2025. This annual event is Australia’s leading public awareness campaign dedicated to highlighting the critical role of sleep in overall health, wellbeing, and daily performance.

This year’s theme, “Sleep: The Lifelong Superpower,” shines a spotlight on the enduring benefits of healthy sleep throughout every stage of life. The campaign will explore how quality sleep boosts physical and mental health, supports learning and memory, strengthens immunity, and enhances productivity and mood -- making it a true “superpower” for people of all ages.

It also provides an opportunity to acknowledge sleep "Superheroes":

  • Those who champion the importance of sleep and the Sleep Health Foundation's mission.
  • Those who appreciate the value of sleep but are faced with additional challenges.

Throughout Sleep Health Week, we will be sharing evidence-based information, practical tips, and resources to help Australians prioritise better sleep. Activities and events will encourage individuals, workplaces, and communities to recognise sleep as a fundamental pillar of health -- alongside nutrition and exercise -- and to take simple steps to improve their sleep habits.

By raising awareness and providing accessible education, Sleep Health Week 2025 aims to empower Australians to harness the lifelong superpower of sleep for better health, safety, and quality of life.
