Dr Sarah White
Dr Sarah White is CEO of Jean Hailes for Women’s Health, Australia's peak not-for-profit for women's health information. Her career started with a PhD and then several years in London researching breast cancer, before going on to head up communications at a New York-based international cancer research institute and Australia's pre-eminent women's hospital, before leading Australia's most comprehensive tobacco control program.
Dr White is part of the National Women’s Health Advisory Council and the Women’s Health Products Working Group for Australia's medicines regulator . She is an Honorary Research Fellow at Melbourne University and still an active researcher.
General Practitioner, Lecturer in General Practice (University of Sydney)
Bianca is a practicing GP with over 20 years of clinical experience. She has a special interest in women's health, mental health and preventive health including insomnia management. She has a focus on continuous, patient-centred and holistic care. Bianca is involved in both GP and medical student education and, in her academic role, is currently researching the effectiveness of GP guided insomnia management. Bianca is passionate about promoting sleep health to health professionals, patients and the community.
Giselle is a Clinical Psychologist and mindfulness teacher with over 20 years’ experience helping people overcome range of mental health and chronic health problems. A pioneer of mindfulness-based therapy for insomnia in Australia, Dr. Withers founded A Mindful Way, an evidence-based digital sleep program. She has a special interest in sleep disorders during peri- and post-menopause, and has tailored A Mindful Way program for women in this life stage. Giselle runs a private practice, Avoka Health, in Northern NSW and the Gold Coast, and provides workplace training, educational training and supervision to health professionals on Mindfulness-Based Therapy for Insomnia.
Dr Moira Junge
Sleep Health Foundation CEO, Health Psychologist
Moira is a clinical health psychologist with a specialty in treating sleep disorders and promoting behaviour change. She is also the inaugural CEO of the Sleep Health Foundation. After three decades on the front lines treating mental health challenges and sleep disorders, she made the switch from intervention to prevention. Whether addressing corporate audiences, health professionals, or the wider public, she brings clarity, credibility, and urgency to one of the most overlooked pillars of mental and physical health.
