Shift work is an essential part of many industries – but working outside traditional hours can make it harder to get enough quality sleep and may affect safety, health and wellbeing.
The Sleep Health Foundation is pleased to announce a new collaboration with EML to launch ShiftReady, a series of eight educational videos designed to support shift workers and their sleep.
Launching today, the videos explore:
- The impact of shift work on sleep
- How to optimise sleep as a shift worker
- Strategies to improve alertness and safety
- How to recognise signs that a shift worker mayhave a sleep disorder and when to seek professional advice about ongoing sleepdifficulties
- How managers can help support the sleep healthof shift workers
The series was developed through a collaborative process with the Sleep Health Foundation’s Industry Research and Collaborations Committee (IRCC), providing expert oversight of content to ensure it’s practical, relevant and evidence-informed.
Whether you work shifts, manage a shift-based team or support workplace health and safety, ShiftReady offers practical, evidence-informed guidance to help make better sleep part of safer, healthier shift work.
