Fatima is a Professor of Sleep Health and the Program Lead of the Let’s Yarn About Sleep (LYAS) initiative at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Her work focuses on advancing sleep health equity through community-led, culturally responsive research, in partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Fatima leads national programs that co-design and deliver sleep health programs, workforce training and upskilling, and sleep health care models tailored for First Nations children, adolescents, and families. With a background in public health, health promotion, and systems thinking, she brings expertise in implementation science, health service design, and policy translation.
