On behalf of the Sleep Health Foundation Board, I am delighted to share an important leadership update marking a new chapter in our organisation’s growth and impact.

I am very pleased to welcome Louisa Smith as our new Executive Director, commencing April 13. Louisa brings more than 20 years of experience in organisational strategy, growth, and partnerships across the not‑for‑profit and commercial sectors. Her leadership, strategic insight, and collaborative approach will guide the Foundation through its next phase, strengthening our operations, partnerships, and financial sustainability while amplifying our social impact.

I would also like to express my deepest thanks to Dr Moira Junge for her exceptional leadership, expertise, and dedication as our inaugural CEO. Moira has played an instrumental role in shaping the Foundation’s success and reputation as Australia’s leading voice for sleep health. We are delighted that she will continue with us as Chief Health Officer, where her deep expertise and trusted public voice will remain central to advancing our health strategy and promoting better sleep across the community.

We are also very pleased to welcomeDr Andrew Tucker to the Sleep Health Foundation Board. Andy bring a wealth of knowledge and experience across research translation, industry — research collaboration and commercialisation. We look forward to his collaboration and insight as the newest addition to our team.

Additionally, we are happy to announce the promotion of Liv Patterson to Communications Manager, recognising her outstanding contributions and our commitment to strengthening our communications and stakeholder engagement.

With these leadership changes, the Foundation is well positioned for continued growth, sustainability, and meaningful impact. We are grateful for your ongoing support and look forward to the exciting work ahead as we continue championing the vital role of sleep in health and wellbeing.
